The first trailer for Ryan Reynolds' new Bedtime Stories series is here, and we suggest you don't sleep on it.
Equal parts soothing and strange, the minute-long preview of Bedtime Stories with Ryan invites viewers into a whimsical world where Reynolds dons neutral-toned nighttime attire, and two highly-spirited sheep settle down for a snooze triggered by the host's tranquillizing tones.

Not to be mistaken for a total fever dream, the video promotes Reynolds' first original series for his new Maximum Effort channel, which officially launches on Fubo June 20 and features the debut of Bedtime Stories with Ryan, per The Hollywood Reporter.
According to the official logline, the series sees Reynolds activate Dad mode by reading a mixture of new and classic bedtime stories "in an attempt to soothe your mind and soul (and also his own)", accompanied by music from the experimental rock band Sleeping At Last.
"We're so happy to create a program with the express goal of putting people to sleep. This show has actually been a dream of mine for a while," Reynolds said in a statement. "Story time is a nighttime staple in our home and is a daily reminder of the power of storytelling."
When Reynolds isn't spinning yarns to stir up a slumber, you can find him on screen in a variety of roles or producing movies under his Maximum Effort banner. Those include Deadpool 2, Free Guy, The Adam Project, Spirited, and the upcoming R-rated MCU movie Deadpool 3.
