We have an update on a story about a Lancaster County woman who is helping to make sure the remains of a World War II veteran are laid to rest.The ashes of Leroy Criswell were donated to the Salvation Army in York.Store manager Angie Morales believes the donation came from a home where Criswell's sister once lived. She died with no other known family.Morales wanted to make sure Criswell received a proper burial and spoke with News 8's Anne Shannon.It turns out that Criswell's granddaughter saw the story on WGAL and told her mother – Criswell's daughter.They contacted the Salvation Army Thursday morning.Now, Criswell's family will be there when his remains are interred at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 10 a.m. Thursday.The public is invited to attend.Video below: Donated remains of veteran to be laid to rest
