Challenging rhythm game Cadence of Hyrule will soon expand its sprite-filled world, according to Monday morning’s Nintendo direct mini. The musical spin-off will introduce new characters later today, such as Impa, Aria, Shadow Link, Shadow Zelda and Frederick, in a pack that costs $5.99. Each character introduces their own quirk to the gameplay — Aria, for example, will die after a single hit.
Later on, Cadence of Hyrule will also add some more tunes as a part of a Melody Pack, which includes 39 songs. “Players can change the background music at any time so they can listen to their favorite songs while journeying through Hyrule,” the press release reads. Released by the end of October 2020, this DLC will also cost $5.99.
There will also be new story content in a third pack called “Symphony of the Mask.” In this DLC, players will become Skull Kid, who can shift his powers depending on what mask he’s wearing. There will also be new songs. As a meatier content drop, this DLC will set players back $9.99 and will be available at the end of October 2020.
A Season Pass for all these additions can be purchased for $14.99, and as a bonus, players will receive additional costumes for both Link and Zelda.
