The author of the “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” series of books for kids will return to Harrisburg on Nov. 5 for a drive-thru book signing at WITF.
Jeff Kinney will bring his Big Shot Drive-Thru tour to the WITF Public Media Center parking lot at 5 p.m. on Nov. 5. The appearance is sponsored by Midtown Scholar Bookstore and WITF.
Those attending can meet Kinney, receive an autographed book and take socially-distanced photos.
Those attending must have a ticket which includes one copy of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid No. 16: Big Shot.” The ticket admits one car. Only 250 tickets will be sold. Time slots will be selected at the time of ticket purchase - 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Families are encouraged to decorate their vehicles or “Wimpify your car.” The family with the best-decorated car will win a boxed set of Awesome Friendly books, also written by Kinney.
A staff member will take photos of each family with Kinney. Families must remain inside the car, Kinney will be outside. Face masks are encouraged.
Organizers said there will be an opportunity to purchase additional signed copies of “Big Shot” and all books in the “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” series. Books will be signed by Kinney.
