“The Fields” may not be the most well-known horror movie filmed in this area, but the small independent film was based on spooky real-life events in the Lehigh Valley. The titular fields were in Forks Township. Shot around the Poconos and in Bushkill Park with a cast that included Cloris Leachman and Tara Reid, “The Fields” premiered locally 10 years ago this week. Here’s how The Express-Times reported the story on Oct. 17, 2011.
When B. Harrison Smith was 8 years old, his Forks Township home was terrorized by unknown assailants for two straight weeks.
