The purpose of W&M News is to tell the stories of the university community to both internal and external audiences in an effort to highlight the people, programs, traditions and values that make W&M unique.
W&M News welcomes story ideas from members of the university community and we encourage you to submit your suggestions.

Stories
W&M News operates as a digital publication and uses journalistic standards, including Associated Press style with some W&M-specific modifications. For consistency across our stories we edit out uncited/unattributed information.
Photos
Photography services may be requested from the university photographer. Requests for photographs that have already been taken may be submitted to University Web & Design through a photo request form. For historical photos of W&M, contact the university archives.
Video
W&M News produces videos that often appear in conjunction with stories but sometimes stand alone. These videos are non-scripted and shot in a news format, with the length of the final product often coming in at under three minutes; videos shot for social media are often shorter still. Social Media
The University Communications team manages the university's official Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Flickr accounts as well as W&M Blogs and our team is ready to share our best recommendations for using social media at William & Mary.
