We love sports. And we *really* miss them. We’re pretty sure you do, too.
From the professional ranks to little league, nearly all sports have been paused or canceled amid the coronavirus pandemic and we at USA TODAY Sports started to wonder: why does not having sports hurt so much? Where did our love of sports come from? What moment or athlete or game or season was it that drew us to the sports we love so much?
To answer those questions, we asked our staff of reporters and editors to share their stories of how they came to love sports.
And we want to hear your stories as well.
We'll be sharing our memories – and hopefully yours – in our daily Sports newsletter. Sign up for the chance to see your story spotlighted, and to celebrate why we all love sports every day.
Then e-mail us at usatodaysports@usatoday.com and share with us the moment or the reason that you first felt *that* connection with sports. Send us pictures. We want to publish your story on USA TODAY Sports and share it in our newsletters and across social media and other platforms. We'll share a new story nearly each day. It might be one of ours. We hope it’s one of yours. But while we’re all without our normal sports schedule, let’s get through this together by remembering the little things in each of us that make sports what they are today.
Don't forget! Share your story with us and sign up for our daily newsletter to never miss one of these memories.
