After declining a qualifying offer from the Rockies, Trevor Story entered free agency as one of the top names available on the market. And there are plenty of spots in which the shortstop could land.
One bookmaker has listed seven teams Story could join in its list of odds — including a possible return to Colorado.
As of Monday morning, MaximBet puts the Rockies at +300 odds — meaning a $100 bet would win $300 — to re-sign the two-time all-star. It’s the third-best odds among the teams listed.
The favored destination, according to the list, is the Detroit Tigers at +200. They’re followed by the Seattle Mariners at +250.
The Dodgers are fourth on the list at +500, followed by the Mets (+700), Yankees (+800) and Astros (+1,000). The Rangers, who were rumored to be interested in the two-time Silver Slugger, are not listed after they signed free-agent infielder Marcus Semien.
Story, 29, slashed .251/.329/.471 for the Rockies last season, with 24 home runs, 75 runs batted in and 20 stolen bases.
