Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life - Is There A Heaven Mode? - GameRant

solokol.blogspot.com

Like many farming simulators before it, Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, players can get lost in the daily grind of maintaining their farm. A Wonderful Life focuses on all stages of life, including marriage, having a child, and even death. However, players are wondering if the story ends after they die.

In the original Harvest Moon title, a Heaven Mode allowed players to stay on their farm and finish getting any achievements they wanted after finishing the game's final chapter. There are many similarities and some differences in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, and this guide has everything players need to know about the post-game.

Is There A Heaven Mode in A Wonderful Life Remake?

A Wonderful Life

Throughout the game, players experience life through six chapters. Their character ages in each chapter, and so do the rest of the townsfolk and their children. While death is not a new concept, with one of the Forgotten Valley residents passing away in Year Two, players may be surprised that they can't avoid it either.

Chapter Six ends with players suddenly falling ill and passing away, leaving behind their farm and family. There will be a long cinematic concluding the storyline and then the main credits. Technically, the game ends there, but players can keep playing if they save their game.

A Wonderful Life

Chapter Seven is called Beyond. In the original A Wonderful Life, it was called Heaven Mode, and players no longer age and can continue exactly where they left off as if nothing happened. Everyone in Forgotten Valley will revert to their age from Year Three, excluding the children who remain young adults.

This free-play mode is helpful for anyone who is still deciding whether to end their journey. There are plenty of character events, recipes to discover, and items to unlock. Getting these done in six chapters is not easy, but Beyond allows players to work towards these goals.

A Wonderful Life

Of course, some events are only available during the main storyline, but there's still lots to do. The in-game encyclopedia keeps track of everything players have found, such as recipes, fish, Dig Site items, vinyl records, animals, and more. The days are short in A Wonderful Life, so finishing all the achievements and trophies will take some time.

Some tasks with daily limits are necessary to get special-grade tools or rare crops to maximize the time and money spent on the farm. Beyond, or Heaven Mode, removes the pressure of a time constraint. Players can live out their days on the farm with no restrictions once the main story ends.

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is available now for PC, PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.
