The Grand Island Memorial Library has started a Story Walk project in connection with the Town of Grand Island Parks Department.
The project consists of fairy tales and nursery rhymes that have been re-told using the library’s unofficial mascot, Leo the Llama.
Story Walk signs are located along the walking path between the library and the concession stand in Veterans Park. Each story has a seating area nearby.
Be sure to practice safe social distancing while interacting with these stories.
Using a phone or a tablet, participants can scan a QR code to link to some fairy tales and nursery rhymes starring Leo the Llama. There are five Leo the Llama Tales available currently. Leave a rating for all five stories to earn a prize from the library.
