Day Five
9.30am: Wake up. Eat porridge and drink coffee.
10am: Get dressed and drive to see my friend.
11am: Arrive and find free parking, score. I am actually on time for once and she’s late so do a lap around the block as I wait for her.
11.15am: Arrive at a coffee shop, and we are asked to give our info for track and trace, new normal. Feel slightly uncomfortable as I have read many articles about those in charge of test and trace having previous data breaches but oh well. Pay £2.90 for coffee.
12.30pm: My friend T, tells me all about her new grad job, I am so excited for her! We decide we need to plan an IRL meeting for our masters university friends. During lockdown we were FaceTiming every few weeks, it would be great to actually see them.
12.45pm: Drive to local shop and complete return. I was sucked into using a discount code on ISAWITFIRST but as most of the order is going back, I don’t feel guilty.
1pm: I drive home, my mum asks me to buy some grocery bits. Sister comes with me as we decide we want to go brunch.
1.15pm: £13 spent on some groceries; we decided to buy brunch stuff and make it at home instead. Who are we? To be honest, eating out just triggers my COVID-19 anxieties.
1.30pm: Also, finally get petrol. I hate putting in petrol so I outsource this activity to my sister. £20.
2pm: We have bagels, avocado, smoked salmon, poached egg and sweet chilli sauce for our home brunch.
3pm: Complete my usual Sunday errands, clean room, change bedsheets, wash clothes. All that adult stuff.
5pm: Get Sunday blues. It feels like the weekend flew past. Use my adult colouring book and do some reflecting I have been discussing with my therapist about the immense pressure I put on myself and mull this over a bit.
9:30pm: Get ready for bed.
Total: £15.90
