BLUEFIELD, W.Va (WVVA) - Valentine's Day was Sunday and WVVA asked viewers to tell us about an incredible love story. WVVA received lots of beautiful stories, but one stood out to us. It's an incredible love story centered around faith. However, this story first started with a devastating diagnosis.

In 2005, Autumn Ingram was just 15-years-old when she was diagnosed with a rare cancer of the spinal cord. Her surgeons operated. Four years went by. It was now 2009. Autumn was barely out of high school. Her medical team said they would need to operate again. At 19-years-old, the cancer was taking over her life.

"It was affecting my ability to walk, my ability to bend. It got to the point where I couldn't even tie my shoes. My mom was (putting on) my shoes on for me," said Autumn Ingram.

After the surgery, Autumn was given more bad news concerning her cancer. She would need radiation, but that wouldn't be a cure. It would just slow the progression of the disease

"The process would be me slowly becoming paralyzed and eventually dying and that's when my mom started calling around and looking at my options for radiation," said Ingram.

Shortly after, Autumn and her mom flew down to Jacksonville, Florida for Autumn's treatment: six weeks and 30 sessions of radiation. They stayed with relatives, who invited them to church, and that decision would change the course of her life.

"I remember very vividly when she came into the auditorim. I can't lie about that," said Tyler Ingram. "I just knew that I had to meet this girl, whoever it was that walked in."

Tyler Ingram met Autumn at church. The two started dating not long after. They fell in love in a whirlwind romance, but soon it was time for Autumn to head home to White Sulphur Springs, transforming their love connection into a long-distance relationship.

Tyler popped the question in November 2009. Autumn said 'yes' and they were hopeful for the future. Then, one day, Autumn's doctor called saying…

"Your ovaries and uterus are reading as a 67-year-old. There's absolutely no eggs we can find. If you want to have kids of your own, it's not going to happen," said Autumn Ingram.

Autumn was devastated. Tyler wasn't.

"I just knew if it was God's will for our life, if we were to have our own kids we would, if not, there are plenty of kids out there who need a home," said Tyler Ingram.

The couple got married in Lewisburg in August 2011. Then one day in early 2013, the impossible became a reality. Autumn took a pregnancy test, and then she shared the results with Tyler.

"We cried and we were looking at it like 'is this real life?' I didn't even have any eggs. What's going on?" said Autumn Ingram.

Now Autumn and Tyler have not one but three daughters, something her doctor said would never happen.

Autumn is also now cancer free and she's lived to see 31 years. August will mark the couple's 10th wedding anniversary, and they offer this advice to others: cherish one another.

"Realize what you have," said Tyler Ingram.

"Realize that every day is a gift and you're not promised tomorrow so live every day like they're your last, and appreciate every moment," said Autumn Ingram.

Autumn and Tyler also offered this advice to singles: be patient and don't settle. The right person will come along.

As the winner of our WVVA 'Incredible Love Story' contest, Autumn and Tyler will receive a $100 gift card to The Oak restaurant, located in Pipestem.
