New Delhi: Siddharth Pithani, the former flatmate of Sushant Singh Rajput, changed his stance thrice when enquired about the story behind the ripped pages of the late Bollywood actor’s diary. Times Now had on Thursday night made the explosive revelation regarding ripped off pages from Sushant’s diary.
When enquired about the same, Siddharth Pithani said that the Mumbai Police took with themselves around 20 diaries that were maintained by Sushant. He added that he did not notice any torn pages. To this, Vikas Singh, the lawyer appointed by Sushant’s father in his case against Rhea Chakraborty, said that the actor’s sister saw some torn pages the day Sushant was found dead. After a little prodding, Pithani said that he did not see any torn pages but there were some chits in the drawer. “I showed them to the Mumbai police and they took their pictures,” added Pithani.
A few moments later, he changed his version, saying that the ‘Kai Po Che’ actor used to write and tear off the pages himself if he didn’t like what he had written. “I’m sure people will find missing pages in more books also,” said Pithani.
Pithani also said that the Mumbai Police had also taken away Sushant’s old phones and iPads.
Notably, Siddharth Pithani used to share the duplex flat with Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead on June 14. He is the one who saw the actor's body before his sister reached the Bandra apartment. There have been instances where inconsistencies in Pithani's statements before the media have led to more confusion.

The probe will be conducted by a special investigation team under Superintendent of Police Nupur Prasad and will be supervised by DIG Gagandeep Gambhir and Joint Director Manoj Shashidhar. The development in the case will be monitored at the top level in the agency on a daily basis.
